Lake Forest Offense Stymied by Adrian

The Forester women's hockey team held visiting Adrian College well below its scoring average on the year but fell 2-0 on Sunday.

The Bulldogs entered the contest with 64 goals in 11 games but were kept off the scoreboard until the 15:20 mark of the second period. The visitors added an insurance tally at 8:09 in the third.

Lake Forest junior goaltender Julieana Tarantino stopped 41 of 43 shots on goal, including all 15 she faced in the opening period, and finished the Foresters' first weekend of play with a .938 save percentage.

Adrian improved to 12-0-0 on the year while Lake Forest fell to 0-2-0.

The Foresters' opponent in their next three games will be Aurora University and they will occur in a five-day span. The teams will face off at Aurora Friday afternoon at 3:00 and at Lake Forest at the same time on Sunday. The third contest will also be played on the Foresters' home ice Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
