The Foresters earned their fifth consecutive victory Sunday afternoon, a 4-1 triumph over St. Norbert College in Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse.

Lake Forest took the early lead at the 3:39 mark of the opening period on junior defenseman Jordan Trapp's fourth goal of the season. Junior forward Makenzie Kamm added her third of the year with 1:51 remaining and the home team took a 2-0 lead into the locker room at the first intermission.

Trapp assisted on freshman forward Marissa Gebauer's third score of the season just 101 seconds into the second stanza. The Green Knights netted their first goal of the weekend at the 13:07 mark, taking advantage of having an extra skater on the ice during a delayed penalty.

Leading 3-1 after 40 minutes of play, Lake Forest took advantage of some good fortune and tacked on another insurance goal at the 12:47 mark of the final period. Senior forward Maddie Davis flipped the puck up in the air from just inside the blue line and it caromed off a St. Norbert defenseman and into the goal. It was the second score of the season for Davis.

Lake Forest senior goaltender Jacque Rogers stopped 25 of 26 shots on goal to improve to 7-5-0 with a .923 save percentage on the year.

The Foresters are now 10-8-1 overall and 7-2-1 in Northern Collegiate Hockey Association play while St. Norbert fell to 3-14-0 overall and 2-6-0 in the league.

Lake Forest will travel to Adrian College for a pair of games next weekend. The teams will face off Saturday evening at 7:00 and again Sunday at 3:00 p.m.
