Lake Forest College hockey player Julieana Tarantino was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday after her near-perfect performance in goal against Trine University last weekend.
On Friday night's scoreless tie, Tarantino turned away all 28 shots on goal, making the game her second career shutout.
The Foresters also triumphed 2-1 with her in goal on Saturday, where she saved 19 out of the 20 shots on goal.
Tarantino did not allow a single goal on six power-play opportunities overall. She finished with a .979 save percentage in the series and now has a .906 save percentage on the season.
The junior goalie is now 2-1-1. The Foresters are 4-5-1 overall and 3-2-1 in Conference play.
Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
