Lake Forest College hockey player Julieana Tarantino was named Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday for her performance in last weekend's series at Trine University.
Tarantino posted her second career shutout in Friday night's scoreless tie, making 28 saves while keeping the Thunder off the scoreboard for the entire 65 minutes.
Lake Forest posted a 2-1 triumph at Saturday and Tarantino turned away 19 of 20 shots on goal.
The junior is now 2-1-1 with a .906 save percentage on the season.
NCHA Players of the Week are selected by the league office. Tarantino is the first member of her team to earn the award in 2019-20.
