Senior Lexi Morgan scored the only goal of the final period but the Foresters fell 6-1 at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, the eighth-ranked team in the country, in Saturday's season opener.

The Falcons jumped out to the early lead, scoring exactly seven minutes into the contest and again on the power play just 44 seconds later. Another goal with two-and-a-half minutes on the clock made the score 3-0 at the first intermission.

The home team struck again for three more goals in the second, including one less than a minute into the period.

An unassisted score by Morgan at the 4:54 mark of the third got Lake Forest on the scoreboard. It was the 37th goal of her career., leaving her just one away from entering the top 10 in program history.

The Foresters and Falcons will face off again Sunday afternoon at 2:05.
