Amy Budde Named NCHA Offensive Player of the Week

Lake Forest College's Amy Budde was named Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday after contributing to all four of her team's goals over the weekend.

Budde set up the Foresters' first score with just two seconds remaining in the second period of Friday's 3-0 victory at Northland College. The senior forward accounted for the next tally herself on a penalty shot early in the third period and added another assist on an empty net goal with less than two minutes to play.

Lake Forest completed a series sweep of the LumberJills with a 1-0 triumph on Saturday and Budde assisted on the game's lone score, a power play goal halfway through the second period.

Budde has recorded a team-high 22 points this season and leads the NCHA with 14 goals. She now has 120 points in her career on 54 goals and 66 assists.

NCHA Players of the Week are selected by the league's directors of media and information. Budde also earned the award once as a sophomore.
