Junior goaltender Jacque Rogers turned away 47 of 49 shots on goal in the Foresters' weekend series with visiting Adrian College, the fourth-ranked team in the nation. Twenty-six of the saves came in Saturday's 2-2 tie.

Rogers made seven stops in the opening period, 10 in the second, eight in the third, and one in overtime on Saturday. She continues to lead the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association and rank ampong the top 20 in the nation in save percentage (.945) and goals against average (1.43).

The Bulldogs finally scored their first goal of the weekend with just 2:42 to play in the first period.

A penalty at 4:42 in the second left the Foresters down a player on the ice but they tied the game anyway just nine seconds later on junior forward Lexi Morgan's second goal of the series and sixth this season. It was her third career short-handed goal.

The score remained 1-1 until Lake Forest junior forward Sydney Simone put the home team on top at 8:27 in the third. Her sixth goal of the year was set up by junior defenseman Amanda Boisjolie and forward Amy Budde, the team's only senior who was playing in her final career home game.

The Foresters held the lead until the final minute of regulation. Adrian pulled the goalie and scored the official game-tying goal just a few seconds later with 36.3 on the clock.

Lake Forest is now 10-4-5 overall this season and 7-1-4 in NCHA play. Adrian heads home 14-4-1 overall and still atop the league standings at 10-1-1 in the conference.

The Foresters will be on the road for the rest of the regular season, beginning with next weekend's series at Northland College. The teams will face off Friday afternoon at 3:00 and an hour earlier on Saturday.
