The Lake Forest College women's hockey team was defeated 4-0 on Saturday at the University of St. Thomas, the 10th-ranked team in the nation.

The home team started the scoring with a power play goal at the 6:35 mark of the opening period and added a tally with 1:57 on the clock. They out-shot the Foresters 16-6 in the opening frame.

The Tommies also had a 11-6 advantage in shots on goal in the second period and a 12-5 edge in the final 20 minutes. They lit the lamp mid-way through both periods.

Lake Forest junior goaltender Jacque Rogers reached double figures in saves in each period and finished with 35 in the contest.

The loss was the second for the Foresters in as many games at St. Thomas during the opening weekend of play.

Lake Forest will play its home and Northern Collegiate Hockey Association opener against Concordia University Wisconsin next Saturday night at 7:30. The same two teams will face off again in Allumni Memorial Fieldhouse Sunday at 5:00 p.m.
