Lake Forest College women's hockey player Olivia Spellmire was named Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday after contributing to seven of her team's nine goals in a sweep of visiting Marian University over the weekend.

Spellmire, a senior forward, assisted on the first goal, scored the second, and helped set up the fourth in Friday's 4-1 triumph. It was her third official game-winning goal of the year and she now ranks third in program history with nine game-winners in her career.

Lake Forest blanked the Sabres 5-0 on Saturday with all five scores coming in the opening period. Spellmire contributed to all but one of the goals, scoring once and adding three assists, to raise her NCHA-leading point total on the year to 33.

Saturday's contest was the 100th career game for Spellmire, who has amassed 114 points over the last four seasons on 45 goals and a team record 69 assists.

NCHA Players of the Week are selected by the league's directors of public relations and sports information. Spellmire also earned the award on November 14 and once as a sophomore.
