The Forester women's hockey team was defeated 7-0 at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire on Saturday.
The Blugolds scored once in the opening period and three times in the second and third. They were 2-for-3 on the power play whle the visitors came up empty on all five of their opportunities with an extra player.
Eau Claire had a 45-14 advantage in shots on goal on the afternoon.
The non-conference loss dropped the Foresters' overall record on the season to 9-6-0. Eau Claire improved to 10-5-2.
Lake Forest will resume Northern Collegiate Hockey Association play at Adrian College next weekend. The teams will face off Friday night at 7:00 (ET) and Saturday at 2:00 p.m. (ET).
