Lake Forest College women's hockey player Megan Lyke was named Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday for her performance in the team's series sweep of visiting Finlandia University over the weekend.

Lyke, a freshman forward, scored twice in Friday night's 14-0 victory. Her first goal of the game and second this season came early in the second period and she tacked on the final score of the contest midway through the third.

Lake Forest won 7-0 on Saturday but led by just one goal entering the third period. Lyke made it a 3-0 game with scores at 6:19 and 9:16 and added her first career short-handed goal at the 12:38 mark to complete the hat trick.

Lyke is now tied for fourth in the NCHA with six goals and ninth with nine points. She is also first in the league and ninth in the country in points by a freshman.

NCHA Players of the Week are selected by the league's directors of public relations and sports information.
