Lake Forest College women's hockey player Olivia Spellmire was named Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday after posting back-to-back hat tricks at Aurora University over the weekend.

Spellmire, a senior forward, scored her first three goals of the season in the opening period of Saturday night's 13-2 victory. She converted a power play opportunity at the 3:54 mark, netted an unassisted goal at 8:00, and tacked on her third of the period just eight seconds later.

The Foresters prevailed 10-0 over the Spartans on Sunday and Spellmire assisted on the first goal of the contest before scoring once in each period. The second of her three scores came on the power play. It was her third career hat trick.

Spellmire's six goals this season are tied for the team lead and she ranks second on the squad with 11 points.

NCHA Players of the Week are selected by the league's directors of public relations and sports information. Spellmire also earned the award once during her sophomore season.
