Sophomore forward Lexi Morgan scored her third power play goal of the weekend but the Forester women's hockey team was defeated 3-2 at Concordia University Wisconsin on Saturday.

Morgan lit the lamp at 10:32 in the opening period, three seconds before the Falcons' first penalty of the game expired. Sophomore forward Maddie Davis and senior forward Olivia Spellmire assisted on Morgan's third goal of the year, which trimmed the home team's lead to 2-1.

Concordia Wisconsin took another penalty just 34 seconds later and had just 18 seconds yet to kill when freshman forward Annie Dalton converted for the Foresters at 12:48. Her second score this season was set up by sophomore forwards Amanda Boisjolie and Sydney Simone. Simone has now assisted on a goal in each of the team's four games this year.

The Falcons regained the lead with 2:32 to play in the first period.

Forester sophomore goaltender came in to start the second period and held Concordia Wisconsin scoreless on 11 shots on goal the rest of the way. The home team's goalie, however, turned away all 35 shots on goal from Lake Forest in the final two periods and finished the contest with 45 saves.

The loss dropped the Foresters' overall record to 1-3-0 and Northern Collegiate Hockey Association mark to 1-1-0. Concordia Wisconsin evened its overall record at 2-2-0 and NCHA mark at 1-1-0.

Lake Forest will continue league play on the road next weekend when the team takes on Aurora University Saturday night at 7:00 and again at 3:00 Sunday afternoon.
