Women's Hockey player Michelle Greeneway was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday after scoring three goals and adding an assist in two games against visiting St. Norbert College last weekend.

Greeneway, a senior forward, lit the lamp twice in the team's 6-3 victory Friday night. Her shorthanded score early in the third period was the official game-winner and she clinched the victory with an empty-net goal with 47 seconds remaining in the contest. The shorthanded goal was the fifth of Greeneway's career and she is the only player in program history with one in each of her four years on the team. It was also her 19th career game-winning goal, which ranks tied-for-sixth in NCAA Division III history.

The Foresters and Green Knights skated to a 2-2 tie on Saturday and Greeneway scored the home team's first goal and assisted on the second to extend her point streak to 17 games. The goal was the 99th of her career, which ranks sixth in NCAA Division III history. She also tied her own single-season team record with 29 scores this year.

Greeneway leads the nation in goals and ranks fourth in the country and second in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association with 40 points. She is also tied for first in the nation with seven game-winning scores.

Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays. Greeneway has now earned the award five times over the last four years for her hockey accomplishments alone, five times as a soccer player, and twice for her exploits in both sports in the same week.
