Sophomore forward Olivia Spellmire and senior forward Michelle Greeneway each had a goal and an assist in the Lake Forest College women's hockey team's 2-2 tie with visiting St. Norbert College on Saturday.

Spellmire assisted Greeneway at the 12:29 mark of the second period to tie the score at one. It was Spellmire's team-high 23rd assist of the year, moving her to within two of the team's single-season record set by Kim Herring in 2009-10. It was Greeneway's program record-tying 29th goal of the year and she moved into sole possession of sixth place in NCAA Division III history with 99 scores in her career.

Lake Forest took the lead at the 10:50 mark of the third period when Spellmire lit the lamp for the 11th time this season. Greeneway and freshman forward Amy Budde assisted on the score.

St. Norbert, which became just the sixth Forester opponent this season to score first, netted the game's inital goal while on the power play at 16:27 in the opening period. After falling behind in the third, the Green Knights tied the score at two with 7:40 on the clock.

The Foresters out-shot their guests 4-2 in the overtime period and 28-24 on the afternoon.

Lake Forest freshman goaltender Abby Cooper made 22 saves on the day and remained unbeaten on the year at 4-0-2.

The tie ended the Foresters' eight-game winning streak, the third-longest run in program history, but extended their unbeaten streak to nine games. It was the first blemish on the team's Northern Collegiate Hockey Association record, which now stands at 13-0-1. St. Norbert is now 12-8-1 overall and 7-6-1 in the league.
