The Lake Forest College women's hockey team fell 2-1 at Gustavus Adolphus College, the fifth-ranked team in the nation, on Saturday. Senior forward Marissa Weber scored the Foresters' only goal at the 15:32 mark of the second period.

Weber's fourth goal this season came on the power play and was assisted by junior forwards Michelle Greeneway and Holly Lesperance. It made the score 2-1 and turned out to be the last goal of the game.

The Gusties scored first at the 15:07 mark of the opening period and doubles their lead at 2:5 in the second.

The home team had a slight 5-3 advantage in shots on goal in the game's first 20 minutes and both teams put 11 shots on target in the second. Lake Forest out-shot Gustavus Adolphus 6-4 in the third period but was unable to complete the comeback.

Forester junior goaltender Allie Carter had 18 saves in the contest.

Lake Forest fell to 7-4-2 on the season while the Gusties improved to 9-2-2.

The Foresters will host the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, the nation's eighth-ranked team, next Friday night at 7:00 and Saturday afternoon at 2:00.
