Michelle Greeneway Named NCHA Offensive Player of the Week

Lake Forest College women's hockey player Michelle Greeneway was named Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday for her performance in the Foresters' 4-1 triumph over visiting St. Norbert College on Saturday.

Greeneway, a sophomore forward, scored in the 12th minute of each period for her third hat trick of the season and the fifth of her career. Her first goal was the official game-winner and the second came on the power play.

Greeneway is now tied for first in the nation with 22 goals and her 32 points on the year rank sixth in the country. Saturday's hat trick gave her at least one point in 16 consecutive appearances, a streak that ended in the Foresters' non-conference loss at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point on Sunday.

NCHA Players of the Week are selected by the league's directors of sports information and public relations. Greeneway also earned the award once as a freshman and is the fourth Forester to claim the weekly honor this season.
