Women's Hockey Ends Season with 2-1 Loss to St. Scholastica in NCHA Quarterfinals

The Lake Forest women's hockey team saw its 2012-13 season come to an end with a 2-1 loss to St. Scholastica Saturday afternoon in the second game of the NCHA Quarterfinals. 

With the loss, Lake Forest ends the season with a 15-7-4 overall record and a 12-4-4 mark in the NCHA. St. Scholastica (14-9-4, 12-7-1 NCHA) moves on to the NCHA semifinals at UW-River Falls next weekend.  

After a scoreless first period, junior Maeve Connelly put the Foresters on the board at 3:26 of the second period as she stuffed in a rebound in front of the net.

The Saints evened the score at 5:09 of the third period with a goal from Nikki Logergren. St. Scholastica scored the game winner at 15:50 on a goal from Monika Waidacher. Michelle Rebeck assisted on both goals.

Goalie Teraysa White finished with 32 saves for St. Scholastica. Stacey Dierking made 29 saves for Lake Forest.    

Seniors Angie Chronis and Jenn Caldwell played in their final game today for the Foresters.
