Stacey Dierking Named NCHA Player of the Week

Lake Forest College women's hockey player Stacey Dierking was named Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Player of the Week on Tuesday after helping lead the Forester to a sweep of the nation's eighth-ranked team over the weekend.

Dierking, a junior goaltender, made 32 saves in a 3-1 victory over #8 Adrian College Saturday night and 20 in a 2-1 triumph over the Bulldogs on Sunday. Her .963 save percentage on the weekend is just slightly higher than her .962 mark for the year, which leads the nation.

Adrian entered the weekend ranked fourth in the nation in scoring offense at 4.23 goals per contest.

In addition to leading the country in save percentage, Dierking also owns the lowest goals against average in the nation at 0.85 and is one of just two qualifying goalies with a perfect record (6-0-0).

NCHA Players of the Week are selected by the league's sports information director.
