Foresters Skate to 1-1 Tie at UW-Eau Claire

The Lake Forest College women's hockey team tied host UW-Eau Claire 1-1 Friday night. Forester sophomore Rosy Fujimoto scored the game-tying goal at the 18:10 mark of the second period.

Eau Claire scored its only goal against Lake Forest senior goaltender Alyssa Wintermute at 6:58 in the second period.

Fujimoto's score was her fifth of the season and was assisted by sophomore Jenn Caldwell and freshman Amanda Forsyth. It was Forsyth's first career point.

Both teams put 26 shots on goal in the contest. After Eau Claire doubled the Foresters four shot in the opening period, Lake Forest out-shot the Blugolds 10-9 second, 7-6 in the third, and 5-3 in overtime.

Wintermute is now 5-3-2 with a 2.15 goals against average and .926 save percentage this season.

The Foresters are now 9-5-3 overall and 5-5-3 in Northern Collegiate Hockey Association play. Eau Claire is 10-5-3 overall and 7-4-2 in the league.
