Angie Chronis Named Forester Athlete of the Week

Women's hockey player Angie Chronis was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday after recording a career-high three points in the team's 7-5 victory over visiting UW-Stevens Point, the nation's 10th-ranked team, on Tuesday.

Chronis, a sophomore defenseman, assisted on a pair of first period goals. The first came at the 10:27 mark and gave the home team a 3-0 lead. After the Pointers came back to tie the game, Chronis set up another Forester score with 45 seconds left on the clock.

Stevens Point tied the game late in the second period and took a 5-4 lead early in the third. Lake Forest then regained the advantage with goals at 3:52 and 9:20. Chronis scored the game's final goal, her third of the season, with 4:02 remaining in the contest.

Chronis now has five points on three goals and two assists this season.

Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
