Lake Forest College women's golfer Gabrielle Krebs was named St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week on Wednesday for her performance at Carthage College's Battle on the Border last weekend.
Krebs carded an 80 in Friday's opening round and a 79 on Saturday to tie for eighth place at the 89-player event. Her final score of 159 is the fifth-best two-day total in program history and Saturday's round ranks tied-for-12th in team annals. Krebs had a birdie and 10 pars each day on the 5,648-yard, par-72 course at Bristol Oaks Country Club in Bristol, Wisconsin.
SLIAC Players of the Week are selected by the league's sports information directors. Lake Forest has now had at least one player earn the award each year since joining the conference in 2019.
