Foresters Finish Fourth at SLIAC Championships

Monday's final round the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships was canceled due to weather, ending the tournament after 36 holes. The Foresters finished fourth with a final score of 748.

Sophomore Makayla Sanchez led Lake Forest and placed 18th out of 39 players with a two-day score of 183. She carded a 90 in Saturday's opening round and a 93 on Sunday.

Forester freshmen Emma Ackland and Lucy Rayburn posted matching scores of 93 on Saturday and finished in 92 and 95 shots, respectively, on Sunday. The team's fourth scorer in round one was senior Grace Black and sophomore Christina Hartley posted a 97 on day two.

Grinnell College was the team champion for the third year in a row.

It was the final competition of the fall semester for the Foresters, who will resume the 2021-22 season during the team's spring break trip on March.
