Foresters Tie for Fifth at Marian Invite

The Lake Forest College women's golf team tied for fifth place at the seven-team Marian Invite on Friday and Saturday.

Freshman Lucy Rayburn was the Foresters' top player on the weekend, posting rounds of 90 and 94 on the 5,802-yard par-72 course at Whistling Straits. She tied for eighth place in the 40-player field.

Senior Grace Black was next on the squad and tied-for-12th overall at 191 while freshman Emma Acklund tied for 17th with a two-day score of 198. Sophomore Christina Hartley finished at 215.

The Foresters' team score in both rounds was 394. The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point won the event with a two-round total of 735.

Lake Forest will be back in action next Friday and Saturday at the UW-Whitewater Fall Classic. The tournament will be played at Riverside Golf Course in Janesville, Wisconsin.
