Foresters Tie for Seventh at UW-Whitewater Fall Invite

Freshman Sydney Reeder turned in the team's best round on Saturday as Lake Forest tied for seventh place out of 18 teams at the UW-Whitewater Fall Invite. The event was played on the 5,805-yard, par-72 course at Riverside Golf Course in Janesville, Wisconsin.

Reeder's 84 in round two gave her a 36-hole score of 171, which tied her for for 33rd place in the 96-player field.

The top Forester on Friday and overall for the weekend was junior Amanda Lee, who carded an 83 in the first round and an 85 in the second to place 28th overall. 

Forester senior Yuka Kawata posted a score of 173 on the weekend to tie for 36th place. Freshman Elizabeth Santos was two shots behind Kawata and tied-for-40th while classmate Francesca Carney tied for 50th with a two-day total of 181.

Saint Mary's College was the team champion with a score of 609, six shots better than runner-up Carthage College. Lake Forest tied with the University of Wisconsin-Platteville for seventh place at 687.

The Foresters will be back in action on Sunday at the Wisconsin Lutheran College Invitational, which will be played at New Berlin Hills Golf Course in New Berlin Wisconsin.
