Sophomore Amanda Lee fired an 82 in Saturday's second round of the UW-Whitewater Spring Fling and moved up a dozen places in the standings.
Lee was nine shots better on Saturday than Friday and tied for 25th place in the 82-player field with a 36-hole score of 173. Classmate Faith Jung was next on the team and tied-for-33rd overall with back-to-back rounds of 88 and junior Cece Cruz's score of 185 put her in a tie for 45th place.
Senior Anhayte Guajardo and freshman Isabel Doane finished with scores of 200 and 207, respectively.
After posting a round of 370 on Friday, Lake Forest was six shots better in round two and finished 10th out of 16 teams at the event. Carleton College won with a 36-hole score of 620, 30 strokes better than runner-up Grinnell College.
Lake Forest will compete in the Elmhurst College Bluejay Spring Invitational on Tuesday. Play at Oak Brook Golf Club in Oak Brook, Illinois, will begin at 11:00 a.m.
