Junior Yuka Kawata was one of two Foresters tied for fourth place overall as the Lake Forest College finished second out of five teams at Tuesday's Elmhurst College Fall Invitational.

Kawata made four pars and a birdie on the 316-yard, par-4 sixth while shooting a 41 on the front nine. She also birdied the 285-yard, par-4 10th and added four more pars on the way in, finishing one stroke off her career-best with an 83. Fellow junior Cece Cruz also fired an 83 to match her career-best score. Like Kawata, Cruz went out in 41 and needed 42 shots on the way in. She also had four pars on each half of the course but went without a birdie while avoiding anything worse than bogey until carding a six on the par-4 18th.

Senior Anhayte Guajardo and sophomores Faith Jung and Amanda Lee each finished with a round of 89 to tie for 12th place in the 32-player field. Guajardo make pars while Jung and Lee each finished with five. Jung added back-to-back birdies on nine and ten while Lee was a shot under par on the 322-yard, par-4 fourth.

Aurora University won the event with a score of 340, four shots better than the Foresters, who were 14 strokes clear of third-place Benedictine University. Lake Forest's 344 is easily the team's best score of the young season and matched the seventh-lowest round in program history.

The next event on the Foresters' 2018-19 schedule is Saturday's Marian Invite at Whispering Springs Golf Club in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
