Freshman Amanda Lee led the way as the Lake Forest College women's golf team closed out 2017-18 against Benedictine University at Lake Bluff Golf Club on Monday.

Lee made four pars on the front nine and three on the back and finished the round in 87 shots. She was the top player at Monday's event and finished the year with the second-lowest scoring average on the team at 87.36 strokes per round.

Forester sophomore Yuka Kawata was next in the individual standings with a score of 89. After playing the first 12 holes in 18-over, she recorded five consecutive pars before carding a birdie on 18.

Benedictine brought just three players and joined Lake Forest freshman Faith Jung and sophomore Cece Cruz in a tie for third place with a round of 91. Both Foresters had five pars and Jung added a birdie on the par-5 fifth hole.

Lake Forest junior Anhayte Guajardo finished with a 92 and freshman Emily Argersinger at 93 while the other two Eagles were at 100 and 119.

The Foresters' team score was 358.

Lake Forest's final 2017-18 scoring average of 350.29 was the best in the program's four-year history and nearly 15 stroke per round lower than the team's mark last year.
