Sophomore Kaitlyn Gray played the four par-3s in 1-under and was the top play in the Lake Forest College women's golf team's 343-397 victory over visiting Benedictine University on Friday.

Gray started her round with thre pars before carding a birdie on the 149-yard, par-3 fourth. She added two more pars on the front nine and five in a six-hole span on the back during her round of 83.

Freshman Emily Argersinger also had five pars on the back nine and finished just one shot behind Gray. Fellow freshman Amanda Lee completed both halves of the course in 43 and junior Kalay Kotasek, who played as an individual, was just one shot behind her at 87. Lee and Kotasek each birdied the 482-yard, par-5 15th hole. The Foresters' fourth scorer was sophomore Cece Cruz, who finished with a round of 90.

Like Kotasek, Lake Forest sophomore Yuka Kawata played as an individual. Her round of 91 was two shots better than the top player from Benedictine, giving the home team the best six scores at the event.

It was the Foresters' only dual match of the fall semester and the team remained undefeated in 13 dual matches since becoming a varsity sport at the College in 2014.

The next event on Lake Forest's schedule is Elmhurst College's Bluejay Invitational on Tuesday, where competition is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m.
