Foresters Finish Season with Dual Match Victory

Senior Allie Girard fired an 82 for the lowest score in the Lake Forest College women's golf team's 358-477 dual match victory over visiting Wisconsin Lutheran College at Highland Park Country Club on Friday.

Girard, playing in the final event of her career, recorded the only birdie of the day on the par-4, 327-yard 13th hole. She also had seven pars on the 5,828-yard, par-71 course. In 29 rounds over the last three seasons, her scoring average of 83.45 shots per round is easily the best in the team's short history. She also owns the top 11 scores and 16 of the best 17 rounds in team annals.

Lake Forest sophomores Kalay Kotasek and Anhayte Guajardo were second and third in the field on Friday with scores of 90 and 91, respectively. They combined for nine pars on the afternoon. Freshmen Yuka Kawata was fifth with a 95 and classmate Cece Cruz sixth at 96.

The victory was the Foresters' fourth in as many dual matches this season, giving them a perfect 12-0 mark in three years as a varsity sport.

Girard is the only senior on the roster.
