Foresters Win Second Triangular of the Weekend

Senior Allie Girard posted the best score in the field to help lead the Lake Forest College women's golf team to a first-place finish in a triangular with Edgewood College and Concordia University Wisconsin on Sunday. The event was played at Bristol Oaks Country Club in Bristol, Wisconsin.

Girard carded an 86 on the 5,836-yard, par-72 course, one shot better than Forester sophomore Kalay Kotasek. She needed just 41 shots to complete the first nine holes and 45 on the back nine.

Kotasek was the only other player in the field to finish in fewer than 90 shots. She had a score of 44 on the front nine and 43 on the back.

Lake Forest sophomore Anhayte Guajardo placed fourth overall in 93 strokes while freshman Cece Cruz was tied-for-eighth at 97.

The Foresters' score of 363 was 27 shots better than runner-up Concordia University Wisconsin. Edgewood was third with a score of 409.

Lake Forest will compete in the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Fall Classic at Delbrook Golf Course in Delavan, Wisconsin this weekend. Friday's round will begin at 1:00 p.m. and teams will start round two Saturday morning at 9:00.
