Lake Forest Uses Program-Best Score to Defeat Wisconsin Lutheran

The Forester women's golf team tied a program record with a score of 357 in a 22-point victory over visiting Wisconsin Lutheran College on Sunday. Freshman Kalay Kotasek led Lake Forest with a round of 85.

Kotasek was two shots under par during a seven-hole stretch starting at the seventh. She also had seven pars in her round and placed second overall.

Forester freshman Anhayte Guajardo was second on the team and third overall after completing the course in 89 shots. She made six par putts and was one of just two players in the field to avoid a score of more than six on any hole. Five pars and a birdie on the par-4, 245-yard eighth hole helped sophomore Frankie Corrado finish fourth with a 91. Senior Alex Dunn finished fifth with a round of 92 that featured seven pars.

The had also posted a round of 357 at this year's Benedictine Invite on September 12.

The Foresters will play at the Aurora Fall Invitational on Tuesday. The event will begin at 12:30 p.m.
