Lake Forest Finishes Second at Wisconsin Lutheran Spring Triangular

The Forester women's golf team competed in the Wisconsin Lutheran Spring Triangular on Friday, placing second behind the hosts and ahead of Edgewood College. Lake Forest senior Brooke Perkins score was more than four shots better than her season average.

Perkins posted a score of 110 on the par-71, 5840-yard course, tying Lake Forest junior Alex Dunn for eighth place. Perkins needed 57 shots to complete the front nine before shooting a 53 on the back. Dunn had a 54 on the from and a 56 on the back.

The Foresters' top finisher for the third time in as many events this spring with freshman Frankie Corrado, whose score of 97 was second in the competition. After shooting a 53 on the front, she led all players at the event with a 44 on the back.

Junior Michelle Ricolcol rounded out Lake Forest's four scorers with a 111, good for 10th place.

Wisconsin Lutheran's top four golfers finished in a combined 401 strokes. Lake Forest was second at 428 and Edgewood had a score of 480.

The Foresters will close out the school's season of varsity women's golf at the St. Norbert Invitational on Sunday. The event will begin at 11:00 a.m.
