Foresters Defeat Concordia Wisconsin in First-Ever Home Event

The Lake Forest College women's golf team hosted and defeated Concordia University Wisconsin 362-374 on Thursday in the first home event in program history. Sophomore Allie Girard's 79 was the best round of the day for either team.

Girard was just one over par on the front nine with six pars and a birdie on the fourth hole. She recorded four more pars on the back nine en route to her best round of the season.

Junior Alex Dunn posted the second-best round with a score of 91 on the par-72, 5,988-yard course. She birdied the eighth hole and added five pars on the day.

Each of the other three Foresters playing in the event posted her best score of the season. Freshman Frankie Corrado carded a 94, classmate Aly Skoczek a 98, and senior Brooke Perkins a 108.

The event was played at Foss Park Golf Course in North Chicago, which will also be the site of the Foresters' next event, another dual match with visiting Wisconsin Lutheran College next Tuesday at 3:00 p.m.
