Kristin Ison

Kristin Ison joined the Lake Forest College coaching staff in 2021. She works with the Foresters' post players and small forwards while also overseeing the team's academic efforts.

Forward Annie Lally shot 51.6 percent from the field and led the team with 13.5 points per game 2021-22. She was one of three Foresters to rank among the top 11 in the Midwest Conference in scoring during league play and one of six members of the team to be named Academic All-MWC.

Ison has spent the last seven years coaching at the high school and club levels. She spent the 2020-21 season as the freshman/sophomore head coach at Stevenson High School in nearby Lincolnshire, Illinois, and has served as a coach and director of girls youth basketball at ALL IN Athletics since 2017. Her coaching experience also includes a year at Horizon High School in Phoenix, Arizona, and two at Branham High School in San Jose, California.

A four-year player at Northwestern University, Ison finished her collegiate career with 948 points, 513 rebounds, 269 assists, and 133 steals. She led the Big Ten and ranked 11th in the nation with the highest single-season free throw percentage (.874) in program history as a junior. Ison graduated from Northwestern in 2010 with a degree in communication studies.

Coming to the College is something of a homecoming for Ison, who grew up in Lake Forest and was a three-time All-Lake County player at Lake Forest High School.

She now lives in Palatine.
