Lake Forest College women's basketball player Annie Lally was named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week on Monday after leading the Foresters to a pair of victories in league play.
Lally began the week by scoring 10 points in the first five minutes of the team's 59-47 triumph at Lawrence University Wednesday evening. The senior forward finished with a game-high 19 points added four rebounds.
The Foresters hosted and defeated Illinois College 88-77 on Saturday and Lally was the leading scorer again, this time with a career-high 31 points. She shot 12-for-16 from the field, grabbed eight rebounds, and chipped in with a pair of steals in the contest.
Lally is now the fifth-leading scorer in the conference at 13.9 points per game and she ranks second in the league in field goal percentage at 53.3 percent.
MWC Performers of the Week are selected by the league's sports information directors. Lally also earned the award once last season.
