The Lake Forest College women's basketball team posted the program's most lopsided victory in more than three years on Sunday, defeating Alverno College 77-35 in the St. Pete's Classic at Eckerd College.

The Foresters' last win by more than 42 points was a 87-36 triumph at Illinois Institute of Technology on November 19, 2018, and their last opponents to score fewer than 35 points was Lawrence University in a 90-32 decision in the 2016-17 season finale.

All 15 Foresters who appeared in the contest made at least one field goal.

Lake Forest junior forward Annie Lally was the only player on either team to score in double figures. She shot 8-for-13 from the field and finished with 18 points in 16 minutes of play. Junior guard Katie Neher was next on the team with eight points and she added a game-high five assists and five steals.

Sophomore forward Maurissa Edwards led Lake Forest with six rebounds and the Foresters had a commanding 43-31 edge in that category as a team. They also shot shot 48.5 percent from the field to Alverno's 25.5 percent and committed just a dozen turnovers while forcing 25.

Lake Forest scored the game's first seven points and, after surrendering a field goal, closed out the first quarter on a 17-0 run. The score was 45-16 at halftime and 63-26 after three quarters.

The Foresters are now 3-5 this season while the Inferno fell to 1-9.

Lake Forest will close out play in Florida against Washington and Lee University Monday afternoon at 1:00 (ET).
