Lake Forest College women's basketball player Hannah O'Day was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday after helping lead her team to a pair of victories.

O'Day, a junior forward, led all players with a career-high 24 points in the Foresters' 66-45 triumph over visiting Ripon College on Saturday. She shot 6-for-10 from three-point range, pulled down eight rebounds, and added two assists in the contest. Ripon entered the day atop the Midwest Conference standings with a 10-1 league record.

Lake Forest traveled to St. Norbert College on Wednesday and came away with a dramatic 59-57 victory. O'Day tied for team-high honors with a dozen points and connected for the game-winning basket with just 1.5 seconds on the clock.

O'Day is the Foresters' second-leading scorer this season at 11.3 points per game and ranks third on the team with 5.0 rebounds per contest.

Lake Forest is now 11-11 overall and in fourth place in the MWC standings at 8-6 in league play.

Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays. O'Day also earned the award on January 4.
