Hannah O'Day Named Forester Athlete of the Week

Lake Forest College women's basketball player Hannah O'Day was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday after averaging 16 points per game in three contests.

O'Day, a junior forward, led the team with 13 points against Luther College on Friday and a career-high-tying 20 against the University of St. Thomas the next day. She shot 7-for-7 from the foul line in the first game and 4-for-7 from three-point range in the second. Lake Forest was defeated twice at the JustAgame Classic in Wisconsin Dells.

The Foresters rebounded with a 78-68 victory over Midwest Conference foe Monmouth College at home on Wednesday. O'Day connected on five of nine field goal attempts and all four of her free throws to finish the contest with 15 points.

O'Day shot 16-for-35 from the field, 5-for-12 on three-pointers, and 11-for-12 at the foul line while adding 13 rebounds in the three games combined.

Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
