Bridget Bilek Named Second Team All-MWC

The 2017 All-Midwest Conference Women's Basketball Teams were released on Tuesday and Lake Forest College's Bridget Bilek was a Second Team selection.

Bilek, a sophomore guard, led the Foresters and ranked eighth in the league with 12.2 points per game. She also led the MWC with 33.3 minutes played per contest and ranked 14th with 1.3 three-pointers made and 17th with 2.2 assists per game. Bilek reached double figures in points in 14 of 23 games and led the Foresters or tied for the team lead in scoring a dozen times.

The conference names six players First Team All-MWC and six more earn Second Team accolades. Seven of this year's 12 awards went to seniors and one to a junior. Bilek is one of three sophomores on the list and one freshman was also honored.

Lake Forest, which has now had at least one player earn All-MWC honors each of the last 31 year, finished the 2016-17 season with an overall record of 6-17 and a conference mark of 5-13.
