Lake Forest College women's basketball player Bridget Bilek was named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week on Monday for her performance in a pair of Forester victories last week.
Bilek, a sophomore guard, scored a game-high 17 points in the team's 61-39 win at Lawrence University on Wednesday. She also grabbed four rebounds while playing 37 minutes in the contest.
The Foresters defeated visiting Monmouth College 61-55 on Saturday and Bilek led the home team with a career-high-tying 20 points. She also pulled down three rebounds, dished out four assists, and was on the court for all but three minutes for the second game in a row.
Bilek leads Lake Forest and ranks 10th in the conference with 11.8 points per game so far this season. She is also 12th in assists, tied-for-14th in three-pointers made, and second in minutes played.
