Danielle Canulli, Women's Basketball

Women's basketball player Danielle Canulli was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday for her performance in the team's 73-65 victory at Beloit College the night before.

Canulli, a senior guard, scored a game-high 32 points and led her team with a career-high-tying nine rebounds in the contest. She shot 12-for-22 from the field, connected on eight of 12 free throws, and added an assist, two steals, and a blocked shot in the game.

The 32 points are the ninth-highest single-game total in program history and Canulli joined Alison Grubbs (1997-2001) as the only players in program history to score 30 or more points in a game three times.

Canulli has scored 75 points in the team's last four contests and now leads the squad with 10.4 points per game this season.

Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
