Foresters Struggle at MSOE

The Lake Forest College women's basketball team was defeated 78-43 at Milwaukee School of Engineering Tuesday night. The Foresters will look to get back on track on Saturday at Grinnell.

The visitors led 14-13 before a 12-0 run by M.S.O.E. put the home team ahead for good. The Raiders also scored the final seven points of the opening period and led 34-18 at halftime.

The home team put the game out of reach by outscoring the Foresters 19-0 during a seven-and-a-half-minute span in the second half.

Sophomore forward Brie Majkowski shot 3-for-6 from the field and led Lake Forest with seven points in the game. Freshman forward Bridget Kelly was next with six. Junior forward K.C. Stralka had five points and a team-high six rebounds.

The Foresters shot just 29.1 percent from the floor while the Raiders connected on 54.5 percent of their field goal attempts in their first game of the season.

Lake Forest fell to 1-3 on the year and will put their 1-1 Midwest Conference mark on the line at Grinnell College Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
