The Foresters were out-rebounded 43-41 but forced 15 turnovers while committing a dozen.

Lake Forest scored the first six points of the game but the Rams quickly tied the game at six. The score was tied again at 24 before Cornell rattled off 10 straight points in a three-minute span. The Foresters trailed 37-28 going into the locker room at halftime.

The deficit was trimmed to five points twice early in the second half but Cornell eventually pulled away and led 57-44 with 12 minutes remaining. Back-to-back three-pointers by Ambrose began a 10-0 Forester run that pulled the visitors to within three with 7:53 to play. Another three-pointer by Ambrose a few minutes later tied the score at 61 but Cornell scored the next six points and Lake Forest got no closer than three the rest of the way.

The Foresters are now 1-11 overall this season and 1-6 in MWC play. Cornell raised its overall record to 9-3 and league mark to 5-2.
