Rough First Half Dooms Foresters at St. Norbert

The Lake Forest College women's basketball team was defeated 61-41 at St. Norbert College Tuesday night. The Foresters were unable to overcome a 26-point halftime deficit.

Senior forward Liz Radtke led the visitors with seven points while freshman forward Sam Cady and senior forward Courtney Faulstick added six apiece.

The Foresters shot just 30 percent from the floor in the game, 1-for-10 from three-point range, and 8-for-15 from the foul line. The Green Knights made 40 percent of their field goal attempts and out-rebounded Lake Forest 42-32.

St. Norbert scored the game's first 15 points and netted the final six of the opening period to take a 37-11 halftime lead. The margin grew to as many as 30 points in the second half before the Foresters out scored the home team 20-10 in the final 10-plus minutes.

Lake Forest fell to 2-4 overall and 1-3 in Midwest Conference play. St. Norbert is now 5-1overall and 2-1 in the league.

The Foresters will host North Central College Friday night at 7:00.
