Sam Schuring Named First Team All-MWC, Liz Radtke Second Team

The Midwest Conference released its postseason awards for women's basketball on Wednesday and Lake Forest had a pair of players listed. Junior point guard Sam Schuring was a First Team selection and junior forward Liz Radtke was named to the Second Team.

Schuring, who was also a First Team All-MWC selection last season, finished second in the league with 3.6 assists and 2.3 steals per game and a 1.2 assist-to-turnover ratio. She was also seventh in the conference in scoring at 12.5 points per contest. Schuring reached double figures in points 13 times and dished out five or more assists in seven of her 22 games. She has scored 763 points over the last three years and already ranks fourth in program history with 266 career assists.

Radtke was listed among the top players in the conference for the first time in her career after ranking ninth in the league with 12.2 points per game and a .483 field goal percentage. Her .764 free throw percentage was also 15th in the conference. Radtke scored in double figures in 16 of 24 games, including each of the last six of the season. She has 519 points, 263 rebounds, and 112 assists in her career.

Lake Forest posted an overall record of 12-12 and an MWC mark of 11-7 to tie for third place in the league standings. The Foresters qualified for the four-team MWC Tournament for the 12th time in the last 15 years.
