Lake Forest College women's basketball player Tracy Rainey (Roselle, Ill./Lake Park) was named Midwest Conference
Performer of the Week Monday (January 11) for her performance in a
pair of league victories during the previous seven days.
Rainey began the week by scoring 18 points, pulling down nine
rebounds, and added three steals in a 59-53 victory at Grinnell
College Tuesday night (January 5). She shot 9-for-12 from the field
in the game and scored 12 of her points in the second half.
On Saturday (January 9) the Foresters hosted and defeated Knox
College 73-58 and Rainey posted her first double-double of the
season. She score 10 points and pulled down as many rebounds while
also adding a career-high seven steals in the contest. She scored
eight points and recorded five steals in another strong second
half.
Rainey currently ranks fourth in the MWC in rebounds and seventh in
steals per league game.
