Foresters Finish 2023 at MWC Championship Meet

The Lake Forest College track team closed out the season at the 2023 Midwest Conference Outdoor Championship Meet on Saturday.

The Forester sprinters had qualified for Saturday's finals and the first to compete was sophomore Matthew Lungu in the 400m. He completed his lap around the track in 51.46 seconds, good for sixth in the race.

The women's 100m was next and Lake Forest freshman AJ Jones was also sixth in 13.13 seconds.

Sophomore Mary Radziewicz turned in yet another sixth place finish in the women's 200m, breaking the team record she set on Friday with a time of 26.22 seconds.

Earlier in the meet, Jones led off and Radziewicz anchored the Foresters' 4x100m relay, which was eighth in 52.03 seconds. Junior Annie Pulaski and freshman Jacquelyn Han covered the middle two legs in the race. The men's quartet of Lungu and freshmen Jermaine Robinson, Michael Alade, and Mason Wright were also eighth but set a school record of 44.24 seconds.

Junior Becca Ray posted a personal best time of 2:42.71 in the 800m and then joined Jones, Han, and Radziewicz in the 4x400m relay. They were eighth in the race but turned in Lake Forest's seventh program record of the weekend with a time of 4:25.12.

Ripon College was the team champion in both the men's and women's competition.
