Foresters Make Short Trip to Chicago

The Lake Forest track team competed at the University of Chicago's Margaret Bradley Invite on Saturday.

The Foresters' top performance came from freshman Adam Winistorfer in the shot put, where he placed third out of 14 competitors with a toss of 11.18 meters (36'8"). Classmate Jaylen Johnson was fifth at 10.77m (35'4") and senior Brandon Rollins was seventh with a throw of 10.04m (33"1').

Freshman Bart Brophy added an eighth-place finish in the 800m, completing four laps in 2:08.86, and senior Mathieu Norcross was the next runner to cross the finish line in 2:09.64.

Junior Madeline Morland was the top finisher for the Forester women, placing ninth in the mile with a time of 5:30.06. Freshman Delfina Jorgensen was 13th in the same race in 5:56.89.

The meet served as the Foresters' final tuneup going into next weekend's Midwest Conference Championship Meet at Knox College.
