The Forester track team traveled to Elmhurst College on Friday and left the Twilight Meet with a school record and numerous season-best performances.

Senior Audrey Paglia turned in Lake Forest's best placing with a runner-up finish in the women's 800. There were three heats and 36 competitors in the two-lap event, which Paglia finished with a career-best time of 2:22.75.

Also highlighting the Foresters' performance Friday night was a program record posted by senior Yaneli Guajardo in the 400. Her clocking of 1:03.75 was the fastest in team history and good for fifth in the 15-runner event.

Sophomore Madeline Morland joined Paglia and Guajardo as the fastest runners in school history in the 1500. She placed third out of 34 runners in the race with a time of 5:03.62, which also ranks her third in team history behind the two seniors.

Another top-five finish was recorded by senior Anna Mollnhuber in the 5,000, where she placed fourth in 19:42.69. That time is also good for third in program history.

Senior Molly Gniady added a sixth-place finish in the grueling 3000 steeplechase, which she completed in 12:57.20.

The only points for the Lake Forest men at the meet came from senior Nathaniel Bodnar, who was sixth in the 400 with a time of 1:02.76. Classmate Logan Schmidt added 17th-place finishes in the 100 and 200 and junior Mathieu Norcross was 18th in the 800.

Lake Forest will compete in the St. Norbert College Quad next Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
